On a late August afternoon I drive my little car through the winding lanes of Hampshire to find a lovely couple, Rosie and Ed. The sun was blazing and the summer stayed for just long enough for the gardens of Houghton Lodge to host this happy, vibrant gathering.
Houghton Lodge is a beautiful venue. The celebration happened amongst wild flowers and walled gardens, dovecotes and Victorian glasshouses, with the River Test meandering by.
This was a wedding of personal touches and flourishes- cake by mum, flowers by friends and the bride’s home-steeped liquor. We were surrounded by a rainbow of colour and loving gestures. Laughter was the name of day and even when the British weather eventually gave way to rain, sunny smiles won out.
